Reed Switch Application. Although reed switch applications are immense we have broadly classified them into the five categories. In the modern mobile and digital electronics world reed switches reed sensors and magnet sensors finds application in almost every equipment.
In applications which require heavy current switching using a reed switch a triac circuit is employed for switching the heavy current load and a reed switch is used for controlling the gate switching of the triac as shown below.
